Carter Pewterschmidt is the main antagonist (and an anti-heroic recurring character) of the adult animated television series Family Guy. He is the husband of Barbara Pewterschmidt, the father of Patrick Pewterschmidt, Lois Griffin, and Carol West, and the maternal grandfather of Meg, Chris, and Stewie Griffin. He is a shipping mogul and conservative billionaire who strongly dislikes his son-in-law, Peter Griffin, and frequently butts heads with him. He was seen at the Duff vs. Pawtucket Patriot Ale trial in "The Simpsons Guy".
