The Truce Hurts

Jerry is chased off the house by Tom who in turn, is chased off by Spike. The mouse grabs a pipe, the cat grabs a frying pan, and the dog grabs a baseball bat. They start to fight by the garage, but Spike suddenly stops it. He questions, "What's all this fighting gettin us, huh? Cats can love dogs, can't they? And mice can get along with cats, can't they?" The three animals agree to become friends in the future, they sign a peace treaty in the house. Tom, Jerry, and Spike take a nap after this, sharing a blanket, and a flower then falls from a tree near the house and that goes into Tom's mouth. He then puts the blanket on Jerry. Jerry then closes Spike's mouth to stop him snoring. Spike manages to stop the alarm clock, props up Tom;s head with a pipe and sneaks off to the kitchen. Suddenly the pipe slips off which made Tom's head hit the floor waking him and Jerry up. Spike set up the table with glasses. Then Spike ring the bell. While Tom helps Jerry brush his teeth, Spike prepares the milk. They seat each other, lick the lid of the milk, Then he pour the milk on each cup while he measure with his ruler, Then they drink the milk and then share a tooth pick for their teeth. Later, Jerry is taking a stroll outside, when Butch who happens to be scouring for food in trash cans, spots him and decides that he will make a delightful appetizer. Fortunately, Tom, who is nearby, immediately rushes to Jerry's rescue and subdues Butch by slamming a trash can lid into his face. Butch stares at him angrily, as if he is thinking that Tom is trying to mess with him. But then Tom brushes Jerry and kisses the little mouse on the cheek before sending him off, which leaves Butch looking on and screams terrifyingly, and repetitively knocks himself silly with a brick out of shock. Tom is soon walking along the sidewalk where a dog is gnawing on a bone. He decides to make a meal out of Tom when he sees him, but Spike screams like a man and makes the save just in time by punching the dog and knocking out a mouth full of teeth. Spike tries to get Tom to speak before Tom points to the apple in his mouth. Spike pushes it down and accidentally knocks Tom out while trying to help him swallow it. Later, the trio are walking until they come across a mud puddle. Spike uses his coat as a way of crossing before a delivery truck splashes them with mud, leaving them in blackface. The delivery truck drops a package leaving Tom, Jerry, and Spike to see what's in it. They see that it is a steak and take it home to grill it. Before they decide to eat it, they draw lines on it each with a chalk to determine on which one can have which size. After Spike gives Jerry a small piece, he gives Tom the bone which angers the cat into putting a fork in Spike's hand. Spike then hits Tom's nose, which extended like a platypus bill and shook. Then they spot Jerry running away with the steak, but Spike catches them with his mouth as Tom takes the steak and Jerry out of it again. The trio fight over the steak before the steak flies out of the house, breaking the window and lands in a stream. The trio tries to catch it, but it falls into the sewers. Anguished by what happened, Tom, Jerry, and Spike realize that all of them no longer can be good pals. Spike shreds the peace treaty and then runs to the outside of the house, picking the baseball bat again up, while once again Tom picks up the pan and Jerry takes the pipe up one more time to resume their earlier fight.

Tom

Tom

Thomas "Tom" Cat (originally known as Jasper in Puss Gets the Boot) is one of the two protagonists in Tom and Jerry, created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. He is an adult bluish-gray anthropomorphic domestic short-haired cat who first appeared in the 1940 animated short Puss Gets the Boot. Tom was originally known as Jasper during his debut in that short, however, beginning from his next appearance in The Midnight Snack and onwards Thomas "Tom" was used. In the 2021 live action movie, Tom's full name was revealed to be Thomas D. Cat. In the fighting game MultiVersus, Tom's full name was given as Thomas Jasper Cat Sr.

Jerry

Jerry

Jerry Mouse (originally known as Jinx) is a fictional character and is one of two protagonists in Metro-Goldwyn Mayer's series of Tom and Jerry theatrical cartoon short films. Created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, he is a cute young brown house mouse, who first appeared as an unnamed mouse in the 1940 MGM animated short Puss Gets the Boot. Hanna gave the mouse's original name as Jinx, while Barbera claimed the mouse went unnamed in his first appearance. In the 2021 movie, his full name is revealed to be Jerome A. Mouse. In the fighting game MultiVersus, Jerry's full name is said to be Gerald Jinx Mouse.

Spike

Spike

Spike (occasionally referred to as Butch or Killer) and Tyke are fictional characters from the Tom and Jerry series, created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Spike is a stern but occasionally dumb British bulldog who is particularly disapproving of cats, but a softie when it comes to mice, and later, his son Tyke. In the shorts Jerry would often try to get Tom in trouble with Spike making him a shoo-in for a beating from the bulldog. Spike has a few weaknesses that Tom tries to capitalize upon: his possessiveness about his bone and his ticklishness. He made his first appearance in the 1942 Tom and Jerry cartoon Dog Trouble, and his first speaking role was in 1944's The Bodyguard, where he was voiced by Billy Bletcher up until 1949, from which point he was voiced by Daws Butler. Tyke is known as a cute, sweet, happy and a loveable pup. He is Spike's son, and they make the perfect father and son, with Spike spending much of his free time comforting his son, taking him out or teaching him the facts of life of being a dog. In Tom and Jerry Kids, Tyke has a speaking role and was the first time that Tom and Jerry fans were able to hear Tyke speak. They both appear in shows and movies with a red and yellow spiked collar and grey fur with a light pink chest.

Butch

Butch

Butch Isacc Cat (or Alley Cat for short) is a Tom and Jerry character, he is a black and white alley cat that’s being a beneficial or harmful living thing to the one and only Tom Cat. He was voiced by Billy Bletcher, Daws Butler, Rob Paulsen, Alan Marriott, Maurice LaMarche, Tony Cervone, Colin Murdock, Joey D'Auria, Nicky Jam, Greg Cipes and Eric Bauza.
